DIVE HISTORY
My initial introduction to the wonderful world of scuba diving began when I was just 10 years old. A friend's father worked as a deep sea welder/diver for a large oil company off shore in the deadly North Sea. He and a work colleague were using our school swimming pool to perform a routine annual maintenance check on their equipment. Fortunately they invited us along to teach us how to use scuba breathing apparatus and educate us in the principles of diving. It did not take us long to realise that we could swap equipment, breath for one regulator and remove and replace our masks etc. Subsequently he took us on some field trips during school breaks to locations in Scotland, France and Spain.
EXPERIENCE
I have since been lucky enough to dive in a variety of locations around the world on various expeditions including:
- Australia: Far North Queensland, Port Douglas, Great Barrier Reef, Coral Sea (Minkie Whales, Hammer Head Sharks & Nautilus Shells). Western Australia: Busselton, Indian Ocean (Leafy Sea Dragon & Sea Horses). Broom, Indian Ocean (Pearl Diving).
